Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Arcqtype is a youth-athlete training and recruiting platform operated by Arcqtype LLC. It provides an AI Coach, personalized training and nutrition guidance, an ARQ Score, recruiting-pathway tools ("My Path"), and community features for student-athletes.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, how we treat minors, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile. When you create an account, we collect information such as your name, date of birth, email, school, location, sport, position, physical and performance details you choose to enter, recruiting goals, and social or recruiting profile links.

Content you create. This includes messages you send to Coach and Coach's replies, workout and training logs, journal entries, nutrition information, photos, videos, documents you upload, and community activity such as crews, challenges, and leaderboards.

Health data, with your permission. If you allow it, the iOS app can read Apple Health information such as sleep, heart rate, heart-rate variability, steps, calories, workouts, and related recovery details. You can turn this off in iOS Settings. A separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy describes this data in more detail.

Device permissions. Depending on the features you use, we may ask for camera access to share photos or videos with Coach, location to show nearby camps and recruiting events, and microphone or speech recognition for hands-free coaching during workouts.

Sign-in and technical data. You can sign in with Apple or Google. We also collect the information needed to operate and secure the service, such as account identifiers, subscription status, and limited server logs used for reliability and abuse prevention.

We do not use advertising networks, and we never sell personal data.

3. How we use your information

• Provide the service — including your athletic profile, ARQ score, training and nutrition guidance, Coach, workout tracking, and My Path recruiting tools.
• Personalize recovery and training insights when you share health or training data.
• Show nearby camps, showcases, and recruiting resources when you share location.
• Operate community features you choose to join, such as crews, challenges, and leaderboards.
• Send account, safety, and consent-related emails.
• Protect athletes, enforce our rules, and meet legal and platform obligations.

4. The AI Coach and third-party AI processing

Coach is an AI assistant. When you message Coach, we send your message and related context to OpenAI so Coach can reply.

We do not use your conversations to train or fine-tune an AI model. Personalization that Coach remembers about you is stored in your Arcqtype account so we can serve you, not to train a model.

You can choose whether Coach may send your messages to our AI provider, and you can turn that permission off.

Coach is not a medical or emergency service. If a conversation raises a serious safety concern, Coach may refuse unsafe guidance and point you to appropriate resources.

5. Who we share data with

We share information only as needed to provide Arcqtype. We never sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

People you connect with in Arcqtype. Coaches, schools, trainers, linked parents or guardians, and recruiters may see the information that belongs on their surface — such as name, photo, school, sport, performance, ARQ score, and recruiting profile — based on your connections and visibility settings. Recruiter access for a minor also requires a parent or guardian's permission.

Coaches and trainers you connect with may also see a current readiness or recovery score. They do not receive the underlying health details used to produce that score, such as sleep, heart-rate data, symptoms, medical notes, or journal entries describing what happened. Those details stay with you and, where linked, your parent or guardian.

Service providers. We use companies that help us run Arcqtype, including:

• Database and sign-in (Supabase)
• Coach AI processing (OpenAI)
• Subscriptions (RevenueCat and the Apple App Store)
• Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In
• Hosting and email delivery

These providers may process personal data only to provide their services to us.

6. Children's privacy & minors (COPPA)

Arcqtype is for student-athletes age 13 and older. We require a date of birth when an account is created.

If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian should review this policy and supervise your use of Arcqtype.

Parents and guardians may ask to review a child's information, request deletion, or withdraw consent by emailing support@arcqtype.com.

7. Your privacy rights

• Access and portability. You can export your data from the app.
• Correction. You can update your profile in the app at any time.
• Deletion. You can delete your account in Settings. Deletion removes your profile, training data, uploads, and Coach conversations. We may keep limited records needed for legal, safety, security, or payment reasons.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to know what personal information we hold, request correction or deletion, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

8. Data retention

We keep your account and the information in it while your account is active.

If you delete your account, we delete the personal information we no longer need, including uploaded files. Limited records that we are required to keep — for example certain safety, audit, or payment records — may be retained in a form that is no longer tied to your account.

Operational logs used to keep the service reliable and secure are kept only as long as needed for those purposes.

9. Data security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, authenticated accounts, and access limited to people and systems that need it to operate Arcqtype.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. If you believe there has been a security issue, email support@arcqtype.com.

10. Community / user-generated content

If you join crews, challenges, or leaderboards, some of your content and stats may be visible to other users. You can report content and block other users. We may remove content that violates our Community Standards.

11. How to contact us / exercise rights

Email support@arcqtype.com for privacy questions, data requests, or questions about a minor's account.

Please include enough information for us to verify the request. If you are a parent or guardian writing about a child, tell us the child's name and the email on the account.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. If we make a material change, we will update the date above and provide notice in the app. If a change affects how we handle a minor's information, we will obtain any additional parent or guardian consent the law requires.
